Since March 1st, 224 tests have been carried out, 64% of which this April. Although more tests are being done, the number of new cases and deaths has gone down. “We have to look at these numbers with caution”, defends the general director of Health, Graça Freitas.
Portugal registers 181 new cases of Covid-19 (it had been more than 750 on Thursday) and 28 more deaths (it had increased by 30 on Thursday), which represent the lowest values in about a month and in the last week, respectively.
