Access to beaches, sea fronts and their car parks is also prohibited.

The City Council of Lagos has just announced the ban on «circulation, gatherings and picnics in green areas and on the coast, located, namely, in the National Forest of Barão de S. João, in the Barragem da Bravura and in Porto de Mós ( Picnic Park)”, from tomorrow, May 1st, and for an indefinite period.

The municipality adds that the measures "are aimed at continuing to minimize behaviors that enhance the spread of the disease."

On the same occasion, the Câmara de Lagos recalls the ban on access to the municipality's beaches, respective sea fronts and car parks, in effect since 27 March.

These measures will be monitored and supervised by the local security forces, under the National Emergency Plan, and are subject to ongoing evaluation and updating.

The Municipality of Lagos ends its communiqué reiterating the appeal "to everyone's understanding and civic sense, advising that all recommendations issued by public health and safety authorities be strictly followed."
