Algarve Hotels Thank Fighting Covid-19 with “Heart of Light”

The idea is to publicize this action "at national and international level"

Hotels and tourist developments in the Algarve will make, on the 22nd of April, at 21 pm, a “heart of light” on their façades as a way of thanking those who are fighting against the Covid-00 pandemic.

The Association of Hotels and Touristic Enterprises of the Algarve (AHETA) thus responds «to the challenge launched by one of our members, participating in this joint social solidarity action».

"The intention is to convey a message of hope and also of gratitude to all those who are fighting the pandemic: health professionals, researchers, supermarkets, producers and everyone else who stays at home for the greater good of many."

AHETA explains that it is also a matter of thanking the «artists, scientists, journalists, security forces and firefighters».

«The criterion to be adopted for the photographs and images is individual», but AHETA suggests the collaboration of the «Portuguese Institute of Photography, since this institution has students all over the country» who can take the photographs with quality.

The idea is to publicize this action "at a national and international level".

The initiative has already taken place, for example, at the Tivoli Marina in Vilamoura, as well as at the Vila Galé hotels, in Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro.
