Olhão Fish Farming Station has already donated 2,5 tons of croakers to IPSS

This station also contributed material

The Olhão Pisciculture Pilot Station (EPPO), which belongs to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere, has already donated, until this Friday, April 24, around 2,5 tons of croakers, produced in its facilities, to a total of 16 Private Social Solidarity Institutions.

This station "also contributed with material that it uses in its research, namely tubes and RNA extraction reactions to increase the capacity to carry out tests for Covid-19 in the Algarve region", says the IPMA.

“At a very difficult time for the country, everyone must help, the EPPO works with a third of its personnel capacity in fish maintenance, safeguarding the future and the continuity of research being carried out in aquaculture in our country”, he concludes.
