Covid-19: Algarve has 4 more cases, Alentejo has 158, Portugal exceeds 20

The Algarve now has 310 cases of Covid-19, 4 more than yesterday, while Alentejo registers the same 158 that it keeps for the third consecutive day.

Across the country, there are so far 20206 confirmed cases and 714 deaths, remaining the same 610 people recovered from yesterday, according to data from this Sunday, the 19th, from the epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS), which has just ended. to be disclosed.

Compared to yesterday's numbers, the Algarve has 4 more infections, from 306 to 310.

 

 

The North is the region with the most recorded deaths (409 in total so far), followed by the Center (164), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (126), Algarve (10) and Azores (5).

By region, this is the distribution of 20206 confirmed cases: North (12148), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (4500), Center (2923), Algarve (310), Alentejo (158), Azores (106) and Madeira (61). Until midnight this Sunday, there was thus an increase of 521 cases across the country, (+ 2,7%) compared to the previous day.

The DGS also advances that there are slight decreases in the number of hospitalized people, a total of 1243 people hospitalized, 10 less than yesterday, 224 of which are in intensive care (less 2).

Currently, 4956 citizens are awaiting laboratory results, while another 27947 are in surveillance contact with the health authorities.

As of January 1, the total number of suspected cases was 187.604, but 162.439 of those have not been confirmed.
