Covid-19: Algarve has 284 cases, Alentejo 140, there are 16.934 across the country

Data from the DGS epidemiological bulletin this Monday, April 13

The Algarve has 284 cases of Covid-19, while the Alentejo registers 140. Across the country, the number is 16.934 and 535 deaths, according to today's data from the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), which has just been released.

After three consecutive days in which the Algarve had the same number of cases (279), the data for this Monday, April 13, reveal an increase of five people infected with Covid-19. Compared to yesterday, Alentejo has one more case.

The number of deaths remains the same in the Algarve (9). As for deaths, there are none to lament in the Alentejo region.

 

 

Nationally, the figures rose from 504 to 535 deaths (31 more). The North is the region with the most (303), followed by the Center (123), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (96), Algarve (9) and Azores (4).

Still in relation to national data, the number of cases across the country increased from 16.585 to 16.934 (another 349).

The regional distribution of the 16.934 cases is as follows: North (9984), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (3896), Center (2477), Algarve (284), Alentejo (140), Azores (94) and Madeira (59).

As for the number of recovered remains the same: 277.

According to the DGS, there are 1187 inpatients (10 more than yesterday), 188 of which are in intensive care (40 fewer).

At this moment, 3264 people are awaiting laboratory results, while another 26989 are in surveillance contact with the health authorities.

As of January 1, there have been 139.184 suspected cases, but 118.986 of those have not been confirmed.
