Covid-19: Albufeira, Loulé and Faro have new cases

Data are from the daily bulletin of the Regional Health Administration of the Algarve

The new Covid-19 cases in the Algarve, this Wednesday, April 1st, are in Albufeira, Loulé and Faro, according to data from the daily bulletin released by the Regional Health Administration (ARS).

According to the ARS, the Algarve has 143 cases, three less than those listed in the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) released today.

The ARS explains that this "discrepancy" is due to the fact that there are three cases, reported by the DGS, which "have not yet been affected to the region".

The Regional Health Administration once again emphasizes, as it has done in recent days, that there is "one death and one recovered" in the region that remain unreported in the bulletin of the General Directorate of Health.

As for the new cases of today, they are divided into Albufeira (plus 2), Loulé (plus 2) and Faro (plus 2).

The totals now look like this: Faro (37), Albufeira (35), Loulé (24), Portimão (22), Vila Real de Santo António (9), Lagoa (4), Silves (4), Tavira (3), Olhão (2), Castro Marim (2) and São Brás de Alportel (1).

According to data from the bulletin, there are 18 people hospitalized, 9 of them in intensive care, two more than yesterday.

There are 591 contacts under active surveillance: 177 in the Group of Health Centers (ACeS) in Barlavento, 346 in ACeS Central and 68 in Sotavento.

There have already been 1287 unconfirmed cases, that is, that have not been confirmed since the beginning of the outbreak. In addition to having a recovered case, in Portimão, another 23 people were discharged from hospital, one more compared to yesterday.
