Artisan wine from Nave de Barão is once again being tasted at a festival

Local wines can be tasted but not purchased

The association “Os Barões” promotes, on Saturday, March 21st, the VI Festival of the Wine, which has been deserving a growing number of residents in the Algarve (national and foreign), brings together some Algarve wineries and includes a handmade wine competition of the region, chaired by a jury of five invited experts.

Nave do Barão, located in the parish of Salir, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé, has a winemaking tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages and, according to some historians, produced one of the most appreciated wines at the king's table in Lisbon.

There will be wines from six cellars and around thirty artisanal wines put up for competition to be tasted. Visitors can taste and buy wines from the wineries present, but artisanal wines will only be available for tasting and cannot be sold on site.
