«At a time when a lot is said about the mistreatment of animals, we want to show that these spaces treat animals well and that, when in doubt, adoption is really the best option»

A Timing donated 700 kilos of feed to kennels and animal protection associations, in an initiative that took place in Tavira, Faro, Quarteira, Albufeira, Portimão, Lagos and Lisbon.

In addition to contact with the dogs, the team from Timing had the opportunity to get to know a little of the daily life of these places.

The chosen kennels and associations were the Municipal Kennel of Olhão, Animal Rescue Algarve de Loulé, Pravi de Albufeira, the Association of Friends of the Municipal Kennel of Portimão, Carlota de Lagos Dog, ADOTA, Santa Luzia Animal Association, Tavira and AMIAMA, Association of Friends of Animals and the Environment of Amadora.

Tatiana Palma, who is one of the people responsible for marketing & communication at the Timing Group, says that «this type of initiative is important to raise awareness of others».

«At a time when there is a lot of talk about animal abuse, we want to show that these spaces treat animals well and that, when in doubt, adoption is really the best option! There are many animals waiting for a family to give them love and affection; we can make a difference in their lives, because they will certainly make it in ours,” he adds.

Social responsibility actions in the community are, moreover, «a common practice in the group of companies led by Ricardo Mariano», concludes Timing.
