Daylight saving time arrives this Sunday and don't forget to advance the clock

On account of the change in time, we're all going to sleep at least one hour

The time will change to the summer regime on Sunday morning. The night of March 29st will be shorter, since the clocks will advance one hour.

In mainland Portugal and in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, at 1:00 am we advance the clock by 60 minutes, moving to two in the morning.

In the Autonomous Region of the Azores the changeover will be made at midnight, moving to 1:00 am on Sunday morning.

At a time when the world is experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic, the president of the Portuguese Association of Chronobiology and Sleep Medicine has already gone public warning for the potentially adverse effects of time change due to mandatory confinement of people.
