Futsal: Portimonense draws on visit to Viseu

Algarvians were almost to win the victory

Portimonense drew 4-4 against Viseu 2001, in a game of the 20th round of the I Division of Futsal, played this Sunday, 8 March.

On the visit to the Viseu pavilion, Portimonense suffered after the 5th minute. Russo scored for the home team. The Algarve reached an equalizer with Caio Ruiz (6′) and quickly took the lead, with Paulinho making it 1-2 (7 minutes).

On the other side, Russo scored twice and tied in the 13th minute.

Junior, a player who played for Portimonense at the time, completed the somersault in the result, in the 19th minute. At half-time, the scoreboard marked 3-2 for Viseu 2001.

In the second half, the Algarve made it 3-3, through Caio Ruiz, in the 31st minute. Then another goal came from Portimonense, when there were only two minutes to go. Pedro Senra scored the 3-4 and the victory seemed (almost) certain for Pedro Moreira's team.

But, at the last minute, Lucas, from Viseu, tied the game again, sealing the final 4-4.

With this result, the Algarve has 22 points and is in 12th position, above the waterline. Portimonense has, on condition, 15 points more than Belenenses, which is already in the downhill zone.

In the next round, the Portimonense-Leões de Porto Salvo will be played, on the 21st, at 18:00.
