Covid-19: Number of intensive care patients rose by more than 50%

138 patients are in intensive care

The number of people with covid-19 admitted to intensive care today increased more than 50% compared to Saturday, reaching a total of 138 patients, according to the epidemiological bulletin released by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).

DGS data indicate that of the 5.962 people infected with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), 486 are hospitalized, of which 138 are in intensive care units, representing a 55% increase compared to Saturday's figures (89 were ).

However, of the confirmed cases of covid-19, the vast majority are recovering at home (5.476).
