Covid-19: Alentejo has another case, Algarve with 31. There are 12 dead in Portugal

Portugal now has a total of 1280 cases, 260 more than yesterday

There is one more case of Covid-19 in Alentejo, bringing to 3 those infected in this region. In the Algarve, there are now 31, two more than yesterday, while nationwide there are 1280 cases and 12 deaths, one of them confirmed yesterday in the Algarve region.

In the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health, in addition to more 260 cases than yesterday, across the country, the number of deaths stands out, which doubled overnight.

As for the recovered cases, it's the same five from yesterday.

In the Algarve, there is still only one death, but there are already four in the North and as many in the Center region. In Lisbon, there are three. Alentejo, Azores and Madeira still have no record of deaths by Covid-19.

There are currently 156 hospitalized people, 35 of whom are in intensive care.

By region, the North continues to be the region with the most cases (644), followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (448), Center (137), Algarve (31), Madeira (5), Azores (3) and Alentejo (3).

More than half of patients are between 30 and 59 years old.

Today's bulletin also reveals that there are 1059 people awaiting laboratory results and 13155 contacts under surveillance by health authorities.

Since the outbreak in Portugal, the total number of suspects has risen to 9854 and there have been 7515 unconfirmed cases.
