The City Council of Albufeira suspended, as of today, face-to-face service to the population, but citizens will be able to continue to access the different municipal services via telephone and email. The measure aims to help control the spread of Covid-19.
In a statement addressed to the population, José Carlos Rolo, mayor of Albufeira, justified the decision with the need to “safeguard the health of CMA employees who carry out their professional activity here on a daily basis, as well as the general population”.
The mayor also appealed "for the population to remain serene, and to proceed in accordance with the measures of personal hygiene and social modesty, with a view to their own protection and to contain the spread of Covid-19".
«Being an exceptional situation, the municipality will seek to streamline procedures as the situation evolves», concluded the City Council of Albufeira.
