Monte Gordo already has a charging station for electric vehicles

During 2020, the municipality plans to have another fast charging station operating on Avenida Ministro Duarte Pacheco, in Vila Real de Santo António

Vila Real de Santo António already has a charging station for electric vehicles. The first equipment is located at Rua Nova de Lisboa, in Monte Gordo, near the Parish Council, allowing easy access from the EN125.

“The station includes two semi-rapid charging sockets with a capacity of 22kWh each”, explains the Chamber of VRSA.

This installation is the result of a partnership between the municipality and MOBI.E, in collaboration with AMAL – Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve, within the scope of the national program that aims to provide all municipalities in the country with this type of infrastructure.

During 2020, the municipality expects to have another fast charging station operating on Avenida Ministro Duarte Pacheco, in Vila Real de Santo António.

The use of the post of Monte Gordo it will be free during an experimental phase, as it is part of a pilot project at national level, after which it will be concessioned by an accredited company for the sale of energy.

MOBI.E is a public company that, by indication of the tutelage, ensures the management of energy and financial flows resulting from the operations of the electric mobility network.

It has a network consisting of charging stations for electric vehicles, mostly located in public access spaces.
