The cross country of the Clube Desportivo e Cultural (CDC) at Nave will cover roads and tracks in Caldas de Monchique on Sunday, February 16th. The departure will be at 10:00 am, next to the old primary school.
The competition should bring together around 250 participants, "from various teams in the Algarve and lower Alentejo and some foreign athletes", according to the CDC of Nave, taking into account that the initiative is open to national and foreign federated athletes, as well as to athletes not federated.
There will be competition at all levels, from minis to veterans, male and female.
Those interested in participating can still apply throughout today, January 13th. Interested parties should send an email to [email protected].
At the end, "about a hundred prizes" will be distributed, namely a trophy to the top three in the various categories and to the top five teams in the classification.
This race is promoted by the CDC da Nave, with the support of the municipality of Monchique, the Parish Council of Monchique, the Water Society of Monchique, the Arbitration Council of the Algarve Athletics Association and the Monchique Volunteer Firefighters.
