This is a weekend of Amendoeiras em Flor and Jazz in the Cellars

365Algarve continues its programming cycle

The “Jazz in the Cellars” and the brand new Almond Blossom Festival will liven up the Algarve this Friday, January 31st, Saturday and Sunday, February 1st and 2nd. Both events are part of the schedule of the 365Algarve.

Starting with “Jazz nas Adegas”, there are sessions this Friday at 21 pm and Saturday at 00 pm.

Both will be at Quinta da Malaca, with the performance of the cultural and artistic group JazzUalg, a project by the University of Algarve that includes musicians residing in this region. The sound bets on improvisation and originality on stage, interpreting themes by composers such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Horace Silver, Chick Corea, among others.

But this weekend there will also be, in Castro Marim, the Festival das Amendoeiras em Flor, an event in which nature is combined with culture and gastronomy, revealing a natural Algarve.

In addition to the traditional offer of walking tours through valleys, streams and the almond groves of the Algarve mountains, under the motto of the legend of the almond trees in bloom, visitors will also have at their disposal the opportunity to visit the market for local products and contemplate recreations of artisanal arts/crafts, which allow to recognize and revive memories.

Street entertainment, theatre, traditional Portuguese music (fado and folklore), traditional games, bread and goat cheese workshops and almond plantations, as well as traditional cuisine based on traditional products from the Mediterranean diet, are other attractions of this event.
