Cortelha opens motocross track for lovers of the sport

The circuit will receive the «hustle of motocross racing, in a slightly different context, of training and preparation for the season»

The Algar Motocross Circuit, in Cortelha (Loulé), will be open on the 8th and 9th of February for the first Track Day of this year. The aim is to allow lovers of the sport “to prepare, in better conditions, for the season that is about to begin”. 

The circuit will receive the «hustle of motocross races, in a slightly different context, of training and preparation for the season of this modality of motorsport», says the Association of Friends of Cortelha.

But this locality in the interior of the municipality of Loulé will not only receive practitioners. «All lovers of the sport who want to enjoy the unique conditions that the circuit in the interior of the municipality of Loulé can provide, are able to participate in these two days of Track Day».

The Association of Friends of Cortelha, the managing entity of the Algar Motocross Circuit, intends that this sporting infrastructure will be more dynamic this year and plans to hold more Track Days in order to provide all supporters of this sport with their training in conditions of security, on a stage that has hosted the best in the world.

To this end, it has the support of the Municipality of Loulé and the Parish Council of Salir, as well as the sponsorship of Algar.

The official Motocross competitions return to Cortelha, to the Algar Motocross Circuit, on the 17th of May, with the Central/South Regional Motocross Championship and other categories.
