The first training camp “De+ Ginástica com Todos”, which will culminate in a gymnastic festival, takes place from 18 to 20 December at the Pavilhão da Escola Basica Prof. João Cónim, in Estômbar (Lagoa).
According to the organization, in charge of the Algarve Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Diminished Children (AAPACDM), this will be three intense days of activity in the pavilion and two «nights of socializing, fun and joy at the Nobel International School Algarve boarding facilities ( former Hotel Levante)».
The Festival is scheduled for the 20th, at 19:30 pm, where “inclusion and gymnastics join hands to design true inclusive art”.
This is the first gymnastics initiative after the international consecration of the Ginástica com Todos project, as one of the great winners of the Beinclusive EU Sport Awards, a competition developed by the European Union, and which highlighted this Algarve project from among 144 aimed at inclusion through sport, from all over Europe.
This meeting aims to create a space for sharing, connection and reflection between the different entities that embrace the Gymnastics with Everyone project.
CHE (ACD Che Lagoense) plays a key role in the co-organization of this initiative, as well as the municipality of Lagoa (2019 inclusive city) that sponsored this moment.
The initiative has the collaboration of the Algarve Gymnastics Association, the Che Lagoense Cultural Recreational Association, the Nobel International School Algarve, the Lagoa Municipality, the Rio Arade Schools Group, and is co-financed by the project funding program of the National Institute of Rehabilitation.
Like the Sul Informação already told in an article, this project created an adapted gymnastics class, bringing together people with and without disabilities.
