The pianist Gabriela Canavilhas will participate this Thursday, December 5th, from 19 pm, in a conference-conference “João Domingos Bomtempo, a European Composer”, at Teatro das Figuras, in Faro.
Accompanied by a string quartet from the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, the former Minister of Culture will close the cycle of concerts “Diálogos Musicais” which took place this year in the foyer of Teatro das Figuras in Faro.
Gabriela Canavilhas will recall the work of one of the most important Portuguese composers: João Domingos Bomtempo. The program includes the third movements of “Quintet for Piano in Eb major Op. 16” and “Quintet with Piano in D major” and also “Fantasy for Piano and String Quartet”.
On the unusual stage of the Teatro das Figuras foyer, the pianist will be accompanied by a string quartet from the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, with the presence of Laurentiu Simões and Emilian Petrov (violins), Ângela Silva (viola) and Mikhail Shumov (cello).
