Day and night running along the Via Algarviana [photo gallery]

Algarvia Patrícia Carvalho won the women's side

92 athletes traveled the Via Algarviana, between thursday and sunday, in another edition of ALUT – Algarviana Ultra Trail, the longest continuous trail running event in Portugal. Paul Giblin was the winner, breaking the race record almost four hours below the best previous record.

Patrícia Carvalho, a native of Olhão, was also highlighted by winning the women's part of the competition, ahead of Flor Madureira and Maria Ferreira.
