São Brás honors young motocross champion

Young São Brasense is «a revelation in the world of motocross»

The young rider Bernardo Santos, only 12 years old, was honored by the City Council of São Brás de Alportel, for winning 2nd place in the National Motocross Championship and 1st place in the ASPBA Regional Motocross Trophy (Pitbikes and Adventure Association).

The municipality attributed a vote of praise to the young São Brasense, who is "a revelation in the world of motocross", for the evidence "of an enormous talent and dedication to competition on two wheels", which he gave.

Bernardo Santos has been dedicated to two-wheel sports since he was six years old. He entered the world of competition in 2013, participating for the first time in the ASPBA Regional Motocross Trophy. In 2015, he ventured into higher flights by participating in the MXRibatejo Regional Championship, a reference event in youth competitions.

«Endowed with strong determination and excellent driving for his age, the young São Brasense rider saw his talent recognized, in 2016, when he was awarded a Kawasaki motorcycle, a sponsorship of Moto Vargues, which would later dictate a new phase in his career with the participation in the Regional MX Ribatejo Championship, in the ASPBA Regional Motocross Trophy and also in the National Motocross Championship», said the City Council of São Brás de Alportel.

“In 2017, at just 10 years of age, he asserted his quality as a rider by winning the ASPBA Regional Motocross Trophy, an honorable fourth place in the MXRibatejo Regional Championship and 1st place in a speed race whose trophy was presented by the world rider from MotoGP, Miguel Oliveira», added the local authority.
