Portuguese Gymnastics Federation premieres “Pirouette” at Portimão Arena

Admission is free but you need to pick up your ticket

The premiere of the traveling show “Pirouette”, presented by the Gymnastics Federation of Portugal, is scheduled for 16 pm on December 00st at Portimão Arena, within the scope of the European City of Sport 1.

With artistic direction by Bruno Oliveira, trainer of Gymnastics for All, the show – which results from a partnership with the Olympic Committee of Portugal – will be starred by gymnasts from the national elite, from all disciplines, who «will reflect values ​​such as excellence in the venue. , friendship and respect, values ​​that must prevail both in sport and in life».

According to the Municipality of Portimão, it is a «gymnic spectacle that seeks to convey the beauty of the movement, associated with the Olympic values ​​that define us as people and as life».

“Pirouette” will have the participation of a hundred top gymnasts, from all disciplines, representing the following clubs: Academia CantanhedeGym, Ginásio Clube Português, Clube Parque das Nações, Sporting Clube de Portugal, Gimnofrielas, Lisboa Ginásio Clube, Clube Almada Gymnastics, Sport Lisboa e Benfica, Clube Naval Setubalense, and Colégio São João de Brito.

Gymnasts from two local clubs will also be present, the Clube de Instrução e Recreio Mexilhoeirense and the Multidesportos Clube de Portimão, which, stresses the municipality, «have played an important role in the dissemination of the sport in the municipality».

According to those responsible for the event, “Pirouette” is “a calligraphy of bodies, a moving watercolor, a reinvention of plasticity and beauty in sport, gymnastics in all its expressions and a mirror of the primordial values ​​of Olympism”.

It also constitutes «an energy in a pure state capable of making us fly, as it is a spirit that unites us, a way of being in harmony with life and with others, an imaginary forged dream-by-dream by each gymnast».

Admission to the show is free and tickets can be collected at one of the following locations: Complexo Desportivo de Alvor (weekdays from 8:00 am to 20:00 pm); Mexilhoeira Grande Sports Complex (weekdays from 8:00 am to 20:00 pm); Portimão Museum (Tuesday from 14:30 pm to 18:00 pm and from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm); Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo de Portimão (weekdays from 9:00 am to 19:30 pm); Portimão Arena (weekdays from 9:00 am to 19:00 pm); TIME – Portimão Municipal Theater (Tuesday to Saturday from 13:00 to 17:30).

On the day of the show, it will only be possible to collect tickets at Portimão Arena.
