Farense suffered, but found Igor's Goal Keys

Algarvians continue to be the outstanding leaders of the II League

Farense had to suffer to beat Desportivo de Chaves 1-0, today, Saturday, at Estádio de São Luís, in Faro. The Algarve wasted two penalties, but still managed to unlock the goal of Igor, the goalkeeper from Flavia, and reinforce the condition of leader of the II League.

Farense could have taken the lead in the 26th minute, following a penalty, but Igor saved Fabrício Simões' nine-metre shot.

The Algarvians were better in the game, but they couldn't score. And the goal only arrived in the final stretch of the match, after Paredes had scared the home team, with a dangerous shot that was cut by the defense of Farense.

In the 84th minute, Irobiso tried to watch a fellow heel, the ball came back to him and, in the second, the Nigerian shot and made it 1-0.

A few minutes later, another penalty in favor of the Algarve, with Fabrício shooting again for Igor's defense.

The game ended shortly after, without the marker changing.

With this victory, Farense remains firm in the 1st position of the II League and now has 30 points, eight more than the second placed, Nacional, which has one game less.
