Algarvia Susana Travassos is the star of a jazz festival in Buenos Aires

Susana presents with her group of Argentine musicians

The Algarve singer Susana Travassos is one of the stars of the Buenos Aires International Jazz Festival, where she will give a concert on November 15th.

In this concert, at Usina del Arte, Susana will perform with her group composed of Argentine musicians and will interpret songs from her latest album, “Pássaro Palavra”, which was recorded in Argentina.

The newspaper “Clarín”, the most important in that country in South America, interviewed the Portuguese artist, considering her “the modern heir of fado and one of the fundamental voices” of the jazz festival, which runs from 14 to 18 November, in Buenos Aires.

Its presence is highlighted by the organizers as «a commitment to a more “root” alternative to jazz, although Travassos' music, anchored in Brazilian, Portuguese and Latin American popular rhythms, is strongly influenced by contemporary jazz». adds the “Clarín”.

Susana Travassos' concert in Buenos Aires is part of the tour that the artist is doing in Latin America and Europe, having already visited Mercedes (Uruguay), and the Argentine cities of Santa Fe and La Plata, now following the concert in the country's capital.

On November 26th and 27th, the interpreter returns to Europe, performing for two consecutive nights in Valladolid, Spain.

“Pássaro Palavra” is her third album and emphasizes the feminine. She has her own compositions and new songs by Luísa Sobral (“It doesn't hurt”), Mili Vizcaíno (Spain), DeaTrancoso (Brazil), AnaTerra (Brazil) and Melody Gardot (USA).
