Tavira people who want to dispose of monos and green waste can count on the help of Taviraverde, which is willing to take care of them and free of charge.
The municipal company has launched an awareness campaign against the illegal disposal of bulky waste, namely the so-called monos and green waste, and offers to collect, free of charge, up to six pieces.
Interested parties only have to contact Taviraverde, through the telephone number 281 380 620, «indicating the number of monos or the approximate volume of greens you want to deliver, as well as the name, address and telephone number», according to the company.
With this offer, Taviraverde seeks to «raise the population's awareness of the problem of illegal deposition and its impact on the environment».
This problem is “causing of unhealthy situations, which degrade the environment and the quality of life of all of us and which seriously affect the image of the city and the municipality”.
The abandonment of garbage outside duly authorized places is, moreover, “illegal and punishable by fines under the terms of the law in force”.
The campaign, which has the motto “Don't leave them on the street… We take care of them!”, will be publicized and will be present on MUPIs, billboards and other platforms in the Municipality of Tavira.
