Portimão European City of Sport (CED 2019) proposes different sports

The weekend, in Portimão, will be animated with electronic darts, footgolf and wheelchair handball competitions.

From today, the 18th, until Sunday, the 20th, the National Championship of Connection Darts will take place in this city, a competition that will bring together 300 inhabitants qualified in games «made in bars, restaurants and cafes across the country with electronic targets ».

Today, the individual competition takes place, in which the 64 best at each level will be selected. Tomorrow 50 teams enter the competition, from three to five players. Sunday will be the day of the two-on-two match, in addition to the Connection Star finals, for which the top two players per level have been selected over the past eight months.

This is a joint organization of Associação Connection Darts, Connection Darts España and Connection Plus Portugal, with support from the Municipality of Portimão.

On Sunday, the Footgolf Cup of Portugal will be played at Hotel da Penina, which will be played in the 18-hole Stroke Play modality, by Portuguese and foreign players residing in Portugal.

On Saturday and Sunday, the International Wheelchair Handball Tournament will gather 80 players from Portugal and France in the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Secondary School pavilion.

In dispute will be the Super Cups of the ACR6 and ACR4 categories.

The teams of APD Leiria, APD Porto, Sporting, CP Messines/AMAL and AS Lyon Cailure HB will participate in the competition.
On the 19th, the games start at 14:30 pm. On Sunday, the program starts at 10:45 and the final is scheduled for 12:30. The competition is organized by the Portuguese Handball Federation for the benefit of inclusive sport, under the motto “Andebol 4 All”.

These competitions take place within the scope of Portimão European City of Sport (CED 2019).
