The Rallye Casinos do Algarve will take place on the roads of Lagoa, Portimão, Monchique and Lagos on Friday and Saturday, 1st and 2nd November. The Algarve race is once again closing the Portuguese rally championship and being the stage for all decisions, regarding the attribution of the national title, but also of other competitions.

This promises to be a rally of emotions, bearing in mind that there are four drivers fighting for the title of Portuguese Rally Champion, including the Algarve Ricardo Teodósio, but also Bruno Magalhães, Armindo Araújo and José Pedro Fontes.

«To liven up the party, regulars in the championship will also be present at the championship, such as Pedro Meireles (VW Polo GTI R5) or Pedro Almeida (Skoda Fabia R5), and there will also be very special visitors such as the Madeirans Alexandre Camacho and Pedro Paixão, both in Skoda Fabia R5 or Carlos Martins in Citroen C3 R5», highlights the Clube Automóvel do Algarve, which organizes the race.

On day 1 in the morning, the Rallye Casinos do Algarve starts with the shakedown e qualifying stage in the Porches area. This is followed by the official departure, at 14:30 pm, next to the Pavilhão Municipal de Lagoa.

This is followed by a passage in Portimão and through Chilrão, in the Serra de Monchique. The day ends with the Lagos super special.

The second day of the event will be spent in the Serra de Monchique, with two passages through the sections of Nave Redonda and Monchique, with one passage through the assistance park located in the Pavilhão do Arade, «with the super-special Portimão – European City of Sport reserved , promising a great end to the party», added the organization.

Passing the championship through Lagos will force the closure of traffic on Dr. José Francisco Tello Queiróz, Palos de La Frontera, Don Vasco da Gama (between Pão da Avó Maria and Mille), Celeiros, Belchior Moreira de Barbudo, Avenida da República and Municipality Square.

In Portimão, the super-special will determine the prohibition of parking on Rua Jaime Palhinha, at the top of Avenida 25 de Abril, Rua D. Martinho Castelo Branco and part of Avenida do Brasil, with access to the residents of this area being safeguarded. starting tomorrow, the 31st.

On November 2, there will be traffic cuts in the area surrounding the Poeta António Aleixo Secondary School and the EB 2,3 D. Martinho Castelo Branco.

 

Traffic restrictions in Portimão
