The luxury real estate development Ombria Resort, in the interior of the municipality of Loulé, which is scheduled to open its first phase in 2021, was awarded, in the 2019-2020 edition of the European Property Awards, as "Best Sustainable Residential Project in Portugal", with the project “Viceroy Residences at Ombria Resort”.
The distinction, referring to the new category “Sustainable Residential Development”, was awarded last Thursday, October 24th, in London.
According to the promoters of Ombria Resort, the “European Property Awards are recognized worldwide as the biggest and most prestigious awards in the real estate sector. The “Sustainable Residential Development” category, introduced this year for the first time to reflect the importance of sustainability in the real estate sector, assessed projects in terms of economic, environmental and social responsibility. Ombria Resort stood out, demonstrating practices of excellence in each of the areas».

The Viceroy Residences at Ombria Resort, a project by Promontório, Lisbon's architecture studio, are a development of 65 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with tourist exploitation ensured by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts and integrated into the 5-star hotel Viceroy at Ombria Resort.
«Varying between 70 to 173 m² of gross internal area, the apartments are fully furnished and equipped to the Viceroy “five star” standard. Already in 2018, Ombria Resort had been awarded at the European Property Awards in two categories: “Best New Hotel Construction & Design, Portugal”, with the project Viceroy at Ombria Resort and “Best Residential Development, Portugal”, with the project Viceroy Residences at Ombria Resort, both awarded the “5 star” level.
