The duo Márcio Marreiros and Rui Serra (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) won the Albufeira Municipality Rally, which took place this weekend, after a heated fight with Fernando Peres and José Pedro Silva (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) and Carlos Martins Daniel Amaral (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII).
At the end of the ten rally qualifying specials, which can be scored for the South Rally Championship, Márcio Marreiros got the better of Fernando Peres, who was 0,8 seconds, and Carlos Martins, 20,3 seconds.
In the Two Wheel Drives, the duo Luís Nascimento and Ricardo Mestre (Opel Corsa 2.0) were the fastest.
With this victory, Márcio Marreiros consolidates the first place in the championship accounts, when there is only one race left for the end of the season: the Rally Casinos do Algarve, which takes place on the 1st and 2nd of November.
