The Municipality of Aljezur has replaced the luminaires in various streets and areas of the municipality with LED technology, under the contract it has with EDP.
The intervention was carried out in Bairro 25 de Abril, Rua Dom Manuel I, Rua das Ceifeiras and Rua 29 de Agosto.
In this way, the municipality is “proceeding to replace the older, more expensive and less environmentally friendly technology with a more economical and more environmentally friendly technology”, according to the City Council of Aljezur.
In this way, it is possible to reduce «the ecological footprint, but also the consumption costs».
