Filipe Santos wins seven medals and breaks two records in Italy

Filipe Santos broke two national records

The Algarve swimmer Filipe Santos won seven medals, five silver and two bronze, and broke two national records, at the European Swimming Championship DSISO (for athletes with Down syndrome), which took place between 15 and 22 September in Olbia, in Italy.

Filipe Santos was European vice-champion in 50 meters freestyle and in relays of 50 meters freestyle, 50 meters styles, 100 meters freestyles and 100 meters styles.

The two bronze medals were won in 50 meters backstroke, a race where he broke the national record, and in the 200 meters moth.

The athlete from Algarve also won fourth place in the 100 meters moth and fifth place in the 50 meters moth.
