The Board of Directors of the University Hospital Center of the Algarve (CHUA) confirmed this, in response to a question raised by the Sul Informaçãothat the Hospital Particular do Algarve is giving in, since last Saturday, 21st of September, doctors to the CHUA to fill the public service's shortcomings in the neonatology service roster.

The CA clarifies that it is "a support established under an institutional partnership, in order to support neonatology, which provides for the authorization to transfer a doctor, on an exclusive basis at the HPA, to perform 24 hours a week in the unit of the CHUA'.

"The payment is made by CHUA, as agreed between CHUA and the provider", adds the Board of Directors.

In their clarification note, those responsible underline, in the end, "or invaluable support and dedication of all our professionals who ensure the scales and full functioning of neonatology. ensuring the quality of health care provided in this area».

This is not the first time that public hospitals in the Algarve, to make up for their shortcomings, have resorted to partnerships with the health units of the HPA group. In 2016, for example, users of the emergency rooms of the then Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, who needed assistance in Orthopedics, they could undergo treatment at the Alvor and Gambelas units of the HPA group.
