The public participation phase of the Strategic Plan of Terras do Infante (Aljezur, Lagos and Vila do Bispo) began this Thursday, 1st of August. The association of municipalities made available a Social Inquiry, which aims to “collect the perception of citizens on various territorial issues of an environmental, social, economic and governance order, linked to the development of this territory”.

According to Terras do Infante, the Strategic Plan of Terras do Infante is «a work of the utmost importance for this region that will promote a detailed analysis of community life in the most varied and multiple aspects, allowing the development of a methodical, realistic and operational, for an action focused on solving the problems of the populations of the municipalities that make up this Association, in the path of sustained development».

This survey, which is available here, until 15 September is «strictly confidential, embodied in a questionnaire available online, thus putting into practice a public participatory methodology that the Association intends to ensure throughout the process».

The municipalities of Terras do Infante add that «the quality and success in the strategic orientation of the planning and development of the three municipalities will largely depend on the representativeness of this questionnaire, so the Association calls for the participation of the population, clarifying that everyone can participate: residents and non-residents, tourists, technicians, decision makers, businessmen, investors, among others».
