This morning, a 12-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl were seriously injured in a car run-in on the access to Praia do Zavial, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo. Another 46-year-old occupant of the vehicle was slightly injured as a result of the accident, which occurred around 10:40 am.
Source of the District Relief Operations Command told the Sul Informação that the wounded are all Portuguese nationals and that the INEM helicopter was activated to help the victims.
In addition to the INEM heli, in the relief operations, 22 workers are involved, supported by six vehicles, from the Vila do Bispo Firefighters, INEM and GNR.
