Nuno Costa was invited as the winner of the National Innovation Journalism Award

Nuno Costa, managing editor of Sul Informação, was invited to participate in the presentation panel of the 2nd edition of the Innovation Journalism Award, which took place this Thursday during Tech@Portugal, at the Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto.

The invitation came after of the award won by the journalist, in the first edition of the award promoted by the National Innovation Agency.

In addition to the presence of the Sul Informação, the Algarve was also represented at the event's technological exhibition through the company Gerozone, a spinoff from the University of Algarve.

The Tech@Portugal event, organized by the National Innovation Agency, brought together more than 100 Portuguese technology and innovation institutions.

João Correia Neves, Secretary of State for Economy, participated in the opening ceremony of the event, which also included António Bob Santos, administrator of the National Innovation Agency.

In the closing session, João Sobrinho Teixeira, Secretary of State for Science, Technology and Higher Education, participated.

During the day, «the excellence of research and innovation produced in Portugal were demonstrated in a disruptive environment with the presence of companies, Interface Centers (CIT), Startups, Competitiveness Clusters and Collaborative Laboratories (CoLabs)», highlights ANI.

The Tech@Portugal event was promoted within the scope of SIAC – Knowledge Transfer Initiative, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, as part of the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program (COMPETE 2020) of Portugal 2020.
