There are four defendants in the "Open Market" operation in Faro

Investigation proceeds to "determination of all criminal conduct, its scope and respective agents"

The “Open Market” operation, which investigates crimes of economic participation in business, passive and active corruption, involving the Chamber of Faro and the municipal company AmbiFaro, already has four defendants.

The situation was confirmed by the Judiciary Police (PJ), in a note sent to the newsrooms.

The PJ does not specify, however, who the defendants are, but it is assumed that they are Paulo Santos, vice president of the Chamber of Faro, Sandra Ramos, leader of the municipal company AmbiFaro (and Paulo Santos' wife), as well as a lawyer from Faro, in addition to another unidentified person, but eventually also linked to AmbiFaro.

The investigation continues to "determine all criminal conduct, its scope and respective agents", says the Judiciary Police.

At issue are “the crimes of economic participation in business, passive and active corruption, embezzlement, malfeasance and abuse of powers”. That is, the PJ adds, to the information previously sent by the Public Ministry, yet another crime under investigation, that of abuse of powers.

This is another operation, different from Tutti Fruti, in which the Chamber of Faro was also searched, in June of last year.
