Cristóvão Norte is the head of the PSD list for Legislatives across the Algarve

Final PSD lists will be voted on July 30 at the National Council

Cristóvão Norte is the head of the PSD list, by the circle of Faro, for the Legislative Elections of October this year, confirmed the Sul Informação.

In a publication on social networks, Cristóvão Norte, who is already a deputy for the PSD, says he accepted Rui Rio's invitation "with great honor".

“Algarvians know me. I know you have reason to trust me. Dr. Rui Rio's invitation gives me the privilege of continuing to serve my fellow citizens and collaborating to make a region and a better country», he adds.

Cristóvão Norte, 42, is the son of a historic PSD deputy (Cristóvão Guerreiro Norte, qwho died in 2016, and he was the only element of this party to be elected to the Constituent Assembly by the circle of Faro, in 1975).

A supporter of Rui Rio in the PSD elections, Cristóvão Norte is the spokesperson for Maritime Affairs at the National Strategic Council.

Still, the truth is that the Algarve parliamentarian, who has a degree in Law and Economics and a postgraduate degree in European Studies, revealed to be disillusioned with Rio's leadership, when Luís Montenegro challenged the PSD president for elections.

To what Sul Informação learned, the final lists of the PSD will be voted on July 30, in the National Council. Our newspaper also tried to find out the total composition of the list of Social Democrats, from the Algarve, but the sources contacted, namely David Santos, president of the Algarve PSD, did not mention the names.

The heads of list for the Algarve, from the various parties, are almost all known. From the CDS/PP will be João Rebelo, while João Vasconcelos will once again head up the Left Block list.

In PCP, Paulo Sá leaves to make room for Tiago Raposo. Of the big parties, only the PS is missing, whose head of the list has not yet been revealed.
