International Caracol Festival and Azinhal Folklore Festival will animate Castro Marim starting tomorrow

Snails and folklore will inspire the two festivals that will animate Castro Marim this weekend.

From tomorrow, the 19th, until Sunday, the hill of Revelim de St. António will host the International Caracol Festival, where "new and different recipes" will be presented, as well as traditional ways of cooking this small animal, a very appreciated delicacy. in the Algarve and beyond.

In addition to Algarve recipes, there will be others from Spain, France and Morocco.

The event also has musical entertainment. Tomorrow, Friday, the Spanish band “Charanga Los de Ruedo”, the Alentejo singing group “Cantadores do Desassossego” and “André Ramos & Teresa Nunes” perform.

On Saturday, the “Charanga Los de Ruedo” perform again, followed by a concert by the “Moçoilas” and a show by the accordionist Celina da Piedade. On the last day, Sunday, the festival opens with singer Eduardo Ramos and the party continues with “Quintarolas” and “Kumpania Algazarra”.

On Saturday, takes place the XXV Azinhal Folklore Festival, which will take groups from various parts of the country to this village in the municipality of Castro Marim.

The “Rosas do Mondego” Folklore Ranch, from Coimbra, the Estrelinhas do Sul Folklore Group, from Paio Pires (Seixal), the Paredes Regional Ranch and the Azinhal Folklore Ranch are the musical formations that will take the stage.

Anyone who goes to Azinhal on Saturday can count on "a show of unique cultural richness, reflected in the dances, singing and musical instruments, costumes and decorations, in a genuine reflection of the customs, customs and traditions of their regions", according to the Chamber of Castro Marim.
