Firefighting plane docked at Beliche Dam

A firefighting plane (Fireboss), that was heading towards the fire of Cachopo, he moored this Thursday, 25th of July, at Barragem do Beliche, municipality of Castro Marim. 

Ao Sul Informação, source of the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro confirmed this situation, whose alert was given at 18:40.

"The pilot escaped unharmed and there was only material damage," he said.

This Fireboss plane was refueling, at the Beliche Dam, to go to fight the fire that has been raging since 17:30 pm, in Cachopo, municipality of Tavira.

According to Rádio Renascença, "the aircraft was parked at Air Base No. 11, in the district of Beja."

However, the situation in Cachopo is already more favorable. The fire has an active front and it is "giving up to the means", confirmed the source of the Civil Protection to the Sul Informação.
