The second competition of the Municipal Mountain Bike Cup in Odemira and 13th Rota do Medronho will take place tomorrow, Sunday, in the village of Amoreiras-Gare, in the interior of the municipality of Odemira.
The competition will have three courses (33 km ride, 50 km half marathon and 73 km marathon), counting simultaneously for the XCM Algarve Cup and for the XCM Inter Regional.
This is the sixth edition of the Concelhia BTT Cup, which began in March and will last until November and includes five cross country events, in a partnership between the clubs and the local authority.
"The objective is to affirm Odemira as a territory of excellence for the practice of mountain biking in terms of tourism, leisure and competition", framed the Chamber of Odemira.
Tomorrow's stage will be organized by the Amoreiras-Gare Sports and Recreation Group, with the support of the Municipality of Odemira, S. Martinho das Amoreiras Parish Council and ADA – Association for the Development of Amoreiras-Gare.
After this Medronho Route, the “Desenferruja Canelas” competitions, promoted by the Vale Bejinha and Carrasqueira Association, “Between the River and the Sea”, organized by the Longueira / Os Duraizos Cultural, Recreational and Sports Association, and “Pelas Serras do Sudoeste”, promoted by Clube BTT do Sudoeste.
«The five events of the Concelhia BTT Odemira Cup include two courses, the half marathon and the marathon. In the end, cash prizes will be awarded to the top three in the men's and women's classes. The final classification of each athlete is established by the sum of points earned. The winners will be known in the final competition, on the 3rd of November, in S. Teotónio», concluded the Chamber.
