The Ameixial Summer Party will return between the 14th and 18th of August, with a new concept in which there are five stages, five different styles of party, in different places in the village.
Organized by Grupo Desportivo Ameixialense, the event «has the objective of energizing the village of Ameixial, attracting, on these hot summer days, hundreds of people and letting them know some of the most emblematic places in the village, such as the Adro da Church, the Oven of “Aldeia Velha”, the Water Mirror of Fonte da Seiceira or even the GDA Recinto».
The festival also aims to “recover some of the old traditions of the parish, such as the matinees held on the day of the Annual Fair or the dances in the most emblematic areas of the village, and simultaneously add some innovation to the festival through the creation of a program dedicated to family and youth, in the renovated area of Fonte da Seiceira».
Rúben Filipe (14th August), Algarvie Marafade and Silvino Campos (15th August), João Lum and Nestor and Nuno (16th August) and Ganda Banda, DJ Massivechild, Marcelo Filipe, Catarina Cavaco (17th August) are the artists who will pass through the various stages.
The mountain cuisine, the space for traditional artisans and producers, the traditional games, the walk “Ameixial, an enchanted corner to discover”, the night mountain biking tour, the borderless games for the family, the kids space and the varied musical entertainment they are, according to the organization, “sufficient ingredients to spend five days in a festive atmosphere in the heart of Serra do Caldeirão.
This year, the organization will provide camping spaces with access to changing rooms and there will be areas for caravanning in the existing parks.
The Ameixial Summer Party is organized by Grupo Desportivo Ameixialense and has the support of the Parish Council of Ameixial and the Municipality of Loulé.
Admissions are free every day.
