Student from Lagoa participates in a meeting of Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion

Student had lunch with the President of the Republic

Camila Ferreira, 10th grade student, from the Padre António Martins de Oliveira Group (Espamol), in Lagoa, was among the young people who participated in the EPIS 2018/2019 expedition “Sustainable development – ​​Transforming the world!”, which took place between 8 and 12 of July in Lisbon.

This initiative, promoted by the association Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion (EPIS), «had as its main objective the development together with EPIS students of the 3 dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental, in collaboration with entrepreneurs and workers of the various member companies of the association”, according to the Câmara de Lagoa.

The young participants, coming from various parts of the country, stayed overnight at the Alfeite Naval Base, in Almada, and visited several of the companies and entities that collaborate with EPIS, went to the Oceanário and had lunch with the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

Camila Ferreira's visit to this meeting was supported by the Câmara de Lagoa, which provided logistical and technical support for the young student, who was accompanied by the technician from the local authority involved in the project.
