Ana Santos Pinto, Secretary of State for National Defense, presides, this Friday, June 14, at the official commemorations of National Defense Day, in Portimão.
At 11:00 am, the government official will participate in a conversation with secondary school students about the role of the Armed Forces in Portuguese society.
The session, which will take place at the Hall of Portimão, is followed by participation in sporting activities of the various branches of the Armed Forces in Largo do Município, as part of the 15th edition of the National Defense Day.
At 12:00 pm, at Ponto de Apoio Naval, the ceremony to commemorate the National Defense Day and demonstrations of military activities of the Armed Forces aimed at young participants will take place.
In the afternoon, at 14:30 pm, Ana Santos Pinto will be chatting at the Museu de Portimão with the young participants in the National Defense Day, from the municipality of Silves.
The day ends with a visit, from 17 pm, to the League of Combatants of Portimão and Lagoa.
