Four aerial means are helping to fight a fire that broke out this afternoon, June 17, in Monte das Mestras, in Almodôvar.
Source from the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Beja confirmed to Sul Informação that the fire “is active” and that “means are still being mobilized for the location”.
On his Facebook page, António Bota, mayor of Almodôvar, says that the fire takes place in a forested area, being “impossible to put out at this stage”.
According to Civil Protection, there are 67 operational workers in the theater of operations, supported by 19 vehicles.
