Cristina Gonçalves worked for several years in the Chamber of Official Accounts Technicians

Cristina Gonçalves, a professor in the area of ​​accounting, at the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism (ESGHT) of the University of Algarve (UAlg) died.

Paulo Águas, dean of UAlg, has already publicly expressed his regret and decreed three days of academic mourning in honor of the deceased teacher.

The Association of Certified Accountants, in which Cristina Gonçalves exercised, for several years, functions as member of the Technical Council of the Chamber of Official Accountants, also expressed its regret.

According to the Order, the professor at the Accounting Nucleus of the Superior School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism of the University of Algarve maintained a close relationship with
institution, “namely as a trainer, both in face-to-face sessions and at a distance”.

«Cristina Gonçalves wrote dozens of articles in magazines – the magazine “Contabilista” last May presents an article of hers – and gave several lectures, especially in one of the areas in which she specialized: ethics, professional deontology and accounting. In 2017, he edited, in the company of colleagues from the university where he taught, the book Financial Accounting Explained», added the Ordem dos Contabilistas, in a note of condolence published on its Facebook page.

Cristina Gonçalves was cremated today, at Quinta do Conde, after a funeral ceremony that took place at the Igreja dos Capuchos, in Faro.
