9th edition of the event took place between April 24th and May 26th

More than 143 menus sold and a direct economic impact of over 400 euros. These are some of the «impressive figures» of the 2019 edition of Rota do Petisco revealed by Teia d'Impulsos, organizer of the event, which involved, between April 24 and May 26, 300 restaurants in 12 municipalities.

«This result is significant from a financial point of view, since the revenue generated far exceeds the investment made in the event, estimated at around 219 euros, but it is especially relevant because it shows how Rota do Petisco effectively contributes to the dynamization region», said Luís Brito, president of Teia d'Impulsos, at the closing event of the 2019 edition of the route, which took place in Tavira.

The same responsible stressed that “over a month, the streets were filled with people, giving new life to the participating establishments and surrounding areas, with the Route having achieved one of its main objectives: to create a new relationship between citizens and the public space. , encourage them to leave their homes and discover the gastronomy and establishments of their locality in an atmosphere of conviviality and sharing».

Also in terms of the menus sold, the 9th edition of Rota do Petisco «greatly exceeded expectations. The organization had set the goal of selling 60.000 routes, and this goal was more than doubled – Rota do Petisco 2019 recorded more than 140 menus sold».

«If 'Ir à Rota' has already become a ritual, and even a common expression in the vocabulary of the Algarve, this was only possible thanks to the support of a multitude of partner entities, public and private», he added.
