Docapesca opened a public tender for the rehabilitation of the Fuzeta fish market building, in the municipality of Olhão, with a base price of 320 thousand euros, aiming at «improving the hygienic and sanitary conditions of the infrastructure and valuing the fish traded».
"The need for requalification of this fish auction was identified in close coordination with the Municipality of Olhão and the intervention reflects the intention of functional optimization of the operations of sorting, packaging, weighing and shipping fish", explains Docapesca in a press release.
The planned solution aims to provide the building with "the most recent requirements in the field of hygiene and food safety, strengthening the cold chain and thus enhancing the fish caught by the local fishing community."
The project will be co-financed by the MAR2020 Operational Program.
