Alcoutim Rally takes motor sport to the Northeast of Algarve

The riders will make two passes through the Laborato, Barrada and Pero Dias sections

O Alcoutim Rally, third race of the South Rally Championship, will take place on the 18th and 19th of May, on the dirt roads around Martim Longo, in that municipality in the Northeast of Algarve.

Ten years later, the municipality of Alcoutim is once again the base for a regional rally race. Competitors in the Southern Rally Championship will return to the dirt roads around the village of Martim Longo.

The riders will make two passes through the sections of Laborato, Barrada and Pero Dias, in a total of 100 kilometers of route, of which 62 will count towards the classification, being the most compact of the races so far in the South Rally Championship 2019, which represents a boon to the logistics of both teams and spectators.

The race goes on the road on the 19th of May in the morning, with the departure and arrival taking place in Rua de S. Sebastião, and the assistance park located on the football field.

The previous day will be marked by the recognition of the sections by the teams and by the administrative and technical checks, which will take place at the headquarters of the Inter-Vivos Association.

Alcoutim Rally is an organization of the Algarve Automobile Club, under the aegis of the Portuguese Federation of Automobile and Karting, with the support of the Municipality of Alcoutim and the Parish Councils of Martim Longo and Vaqueiros and also the sponsorship of Solverde – Casinos and Hotels, Vinhos do Algarve and Acrimolde.
