A 34-year-old Polish parachutist was seriously injured this afternoon in Portimão, after landing on the roof of a building in the Vila Paraíso urbanization, in Pedra Mourinha in Portimão.
Richard Marques, commander of the Portimão Fire Department, told the Sul Informação that the alert was received at 15:06 «with the indication that there were two paratroopers in difficulties, it was a couple. One of them landed well, but the woman landed badly, having been seriously injured».
Although, initially, the victim's condition was not considered serious, Richard Marques explained that "an evaluation was carried out and a fracture is suspected".
The woman was stabilized on the spot and transported to Hospital de Portimão.
